Introduction

Barnewall Resources has been providing services to clients since its establishment in 2003.

Our office is located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, but our services extend beyond this region.

Our Mission

We aim to provide timely, high quality and cost-effective services and benefit clients.

From the profits we make, we aim to help some of the world’s needy, by specifically supporting the work of the Shalom Children’s Home and Community Development project in southern India. (www.shalomhomeindia.org)

Our Resources

Our resources comprise of our very experienced and capable permanent staff, supported by specialist contract staff and subconsultants that we commonly utilise on a project by project basis to help meet our clients’ needs.

Geoff Hales

COMPANY DIRECTOR AND PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

BE (Civil); MIEAust (CPEng); RPEQ

Geoff has more than 30 years experience as both a local government and consultant engineer.

Originally working in local government for Shoalhaven City Council in NSW, Geoff joined international consulting firm GHD and has worked with them in the Northern Territory, NSW and Queensland.

From 2000 – 2002 Geoff served with Australian Volunteers International as a Project Engineer with the Public Works Department in Vanuatu.

Upon his return to Australia Geoff established Barnewall Resources Pty Ltd to provide Infrastructure Management Services to clients primarily in Queensland and the Pacific Islands.

Key Experience Areas: Asset management, project management, civil engineering (water, sewerage, roads and drainage systems), and capacity building.

Other Experience Areas: Bridges, dams, coal mine civil infrastructure, wharves, recreational areas, buildings (hydraulic services), and survey.

Karen Hales

Coming from a background in local government administration and creative arts including video production, Karen looks after administration, finances and multi-media work.
