The development was formerly called the Shaloms Childrens Home. As it now involves significantly more than caring for orphans, such as providing assistance to the poor people in the neighboring village, it was renamed when the project received approval for an additional 3 years. Stage 2 of the project comprises of the building of a Girls Facility, a new kitchen and dining hall, and two guestrooms. BR has continued to financially support the project. For further information, refer www.shalomhomeindia.org
